A ‘Moment of Surrender’, Trusting What Comes Next
My last* blog post. Here, on SMNash.com. A time of reflection and summary, of musings on resilience, and of wondering what comes next. So a somewhat personal sharing, then – as this particular transformative conversation comes to an end – but a useful reminding for all, I’m sure, of the potency of ‘sweet surrender’… [Summary]
Sweet Surrender: An Introduction…
What creative process could be more exquisite than that of creating yourself? Each moment, an opportunity to show up and reveal yourself anew. And the best way to express yourself thus – sweet, sweet surrender!
Well, that’s one way to introduce this final* blog post of SMNash.com! Written primarily because I like to ‘top and tail’ things – to acknowledge the start and end of what I do.
(* NOTE: My first post here was called Let The Conversation Begin… and, as of May 5th (2017), my NEW ‘last ever post’ is now called ‘The Answer’. Gues you can NEVER argue with ‘sweet surrender’ in the moment, and where it takes you or what new blog posts you might end up writing!)
So, why am I talking about a sweet surrender, then?
Well I have no idea what comes next for me, that’s why; and that really is what true letting go means: to be curious, not controlling of the next moment. Sweet. Sour. AND scary, too…
Whether you’ll learn anything by reading ‘my moment of surrender’ post (or watching my sweet surrender video) I really can’t say. I have, it seems, written the entirety of this whole blog for the likes of, well, ME! Maybe it will be one of them there learning via the example of others experiences, who knows…
Sweet Surrender: The Blog Comes To An End…
What comes next?
I certainly don’t.
I had no idea what I’d be talking about when I started the blog (though I’m not surprised it ended up covering topics like being yourself, letting go, self-love and suffering, self-awareness and of course thinking and transformation).
I had no idea that I’d end up recording 31 3-minute heroes videos on a variety of subjects (loved doing those videos, imperfect as they are). Nor did I realise I’d record a series of thoughts about feelings videos, too.
I didn’t even realise I’d be stopping the blog, just over two years later. (Feels time to do so, that’s all, to stop sharing here so I can start sharing somewhere else.)
No really, what comes next, Steve? Well…
- I shall still be a transformative coach
- I shall, at some point, create a new space to share myself
- I shall ‘simply live’ in the meantime, as we’re all called to do, shall twist and turn to the drumbeat of life
The moment of surrender is now… (And now… And now…)
Sweet Surrender: And, Finally…
On another personal note, and I do hope this doesn’t sound too weird, but I LOVE these blog posts – have loved writing them, and love reading them!
(For the most part, anyway.)
Which is great, but… But I’m not sure what impact my writing has had on others, not sure how well received my words have been.
And it’s these kinds of doubts that led me to write this post about finding my niche (finding out who I am actually writing for, if not just for myself).
And maybe that’s why this will be my last* blog post, on this SMNash.com blog.
- I still don’t know who I’m writing for, other than for me
I know I, at least, will return to these pages time and again, to be reminded of a wisdom that has always been with me (and is always with you, too).
So thank you, Steve, for writing these blogs, and for sharing yourself as openly and wisely as you know how to here.
And to you, dear reader who isn’t Steve…
